Media type: MUSIC! (Podcasts & Music)
Parameters: I'd like reccs for musicians who sing in languages other than English. Examples ... I've been listening to a bunch of rap in French, Angelique Kidjo, The HU, some South Korean pop... I've got a pretty wide range in terms of what I like: I love folk music traditions, hip-hop, jazz, mash-up type stuff, sound collage stuff (think The Books or Girl Talk). Go to artists I love to listen to include: Dessa, Kishi Bashi, Dave Carter, Justin Vernon, Vienna Teng, Stromae, etc. Bonus points for artists who are ladies or part of the lgbt+ community, but it's not a requirement.
Do not want: Preferably no reccs for artists who you know have, say, a bunch of people accusing them of rape or the like. I don't expect anyone to be above reproach in all ways -- no one is -- but I'd rather not fall in love a musician who has a reputation for perpetuating great harm.

I love Julieta Venegas! She's a Mexican pop artist. I haven't caught up with her recently, but her debut album is very interesting with a lot of accordion (which she plays), and I keep coming back to her second album, which has a much lighter, pop-ier sound. Eres Para Mi off that album (which is different than the music video version from the playlist, and better IMO) is a particular favorite.

Media type: Books

Parameters: I love Fantasy settings, but Portal Fantasies (protagonist from our world ends in another) are hard to find, specially if you're looking for a female protagonist! If you have any rec like that, I'll be happy to write it down!

I also love a good Enemy to Lovers, so share if you know anything good, :D

Do not want: I don't mind angst and bad things happening as long as there's a happy ending, but no rape, please.

Media type: Fanfic, Books

Parameters: I'm feeling nostalgic in these troubled times and would like to read some Trek (TOS or alternative universe) that features Dr. McCoy. I also love Spock and would welcome a focus on their relationship/conflicts. Other characters welcome. Gen, het, or slash OK (especially gen), but the characters must be believable and the more plot the better. Slight adherence to canon appreciated ;)

Do not want: Lotsa, lotsa sexy time without character development or plot
